What happens next?
We will send you an offer via email
Our buying team will determine the value of your damaged or scrap and email you, our offer. There’s no pressure, and if you’re not ready yet, your quotation will remain valid for seven days, allowing you time to consider your options.
Arrange collection of your damaged car
If you agree with the quoted price, you can proceed to schedule your collection. Our collection partner will reach out to set up a time for picking up your car that suits you best. We pick up damaged or scrap cars from any location in the UK, including your residence, workplace, or garage! When we come to collect your scrap car, please ensure you have all necessary paperwork, your keys, and your identification.
Get cash & notify DVLA
All that remains is to receive payment for your vehicle! Typically, payment will be made via electronic bank transfer. Finally, when your car is prepared for recycling, it will be processed in accordance with the law at an authorized vehicle recycling facility. We will ensure you obtain a copy of the DVLA Certificate of Destruction as evidence that your car is no longer in circulation. Autoway Salvage will assist you in accurately completing your registration certificate (V5C – the log book) to inform the DVLA that you are no longer liable for the vehicle. It’s crucial to handle the paperwork correctly when you dispose of your car to avoid incurring a fine from the DVLA.
